Eva Furnari
was born in Rome (Italy) in 1948 and came to Brazil when she was 2 years old. She lives in São Paulo. In 1976 she graduated in Architecture and Urbanism at Universidade de São Paulo (USP). She taught Fine Arts at the Museu Lasar Segal in São Paulo from 1974 to 1979. During the 80s, she was an illustrator for various Brazilian magazines and published the comic strip Bruxinha (Little Witch) on Folha de São Paulo on a weekly basis. Eva Furnari started her career as a writer and illustrator of children’s books in 1980 and has published more than 60 books so far. Throughout her career, she has received various prestigious awards in Brazil, including nine FNLIJ Awards, the Jabuti and the APCA Award for her body of work, and has been included in the Honor List compiled by IBBY with O feitiço do sapo (The Spell of the Toad).e

Ilan Brenman
is considered one of the most important Brazilian children’s authors. His most famous book, Even Pricesses Fart remained for more than 60 consecutive weeks in the best-sellers list of the main bookshops in the country. He is also a best-selling author in Spain. Ilan has a degree in Psicology (PUC - São Paulo), a MA and PhD from the Faculty of Education (University of São Paulo, USP. Since 1997, Ilan has published more than 60 books for children with various Brazilian publishers such as Companhia das Letras and WMF. Many of his books have been considered "highly recommended" by the National Foundation of the Children Book in Brazil. The same institution has awarded his book 14 Pérolas da Índia (Brinque-Book) with the best story-telling book award in 2009, the best picture book award for Telefone sem fio (Cia das Letras) in 2010 and the best children's book for O alvo (Atica) in 2011. Since 2011, Ilan's books have crossed the Brazilian borders and today some of them are published in Europe and Asia. In 2012, O alvo was selected to be part of the German publisher White Raven's catalogue

Katia Canton
studied architecture, dance and journalism in her hometown of São Paulo, Brazil. She has a PhD from New York University, Tisch School of the Arts, on Fairy Tales and the Arts and is an Associate Professor of contemporary art at the Museum of Contemporary Art at the University of São Paulo, lecturing internationally about fairy tales, art and narrative. Katia has published around 50 books and has won many of the most significant prizes in Brazil, such the Jabuti Prize for three times times, the Malba Tahan Prize twice and the Troféu Vasco Prado. She has been granted with many “Highly Recommended” awards given by FNLIJ (National Foundation of Literature for Children and Young Adults, Brazil) and her books have been consistently adopted by government literary programs.

Paula Pimenta
was born in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. Her aptitude for writing was clear from a very early age and for that reason she passed the college entrance exam to study Journalism. Two years later, she transferred to Advertising, the course in which she graduated. Paula Pimenta became a household name in 2008, with the publication of Shooting My Life's Script - Fani's Premiere published by Gutenberg. In 2009, she released Fazendo meu filme 2 - Fani na terra da rainha and in 2010, Fazendo meu filme 3 - O roteiro inesperado de Fani. In 2011, she launched a new series: Minha vida fora de série - 1a temporada which follows the adjustment issues of Priscila, a 13 year od girl who moves from São Paulo to Belo Horizonte following the divorce of her parents. In 2012, she launched the final volume of Shooting My Life's Script, Fazendo meu filme 4 – Fani em busca do final feliz, the book which confirmed her status as one of the most well- known Brazilian teen writers. She also released Apaixonada por palavras, which draws together the author's personal stories, and Diário da Fani, a journal to write in for fans of the Shooting My Life's Script series. All of her books have been best-sellers among the teenage market in Brazil. Rights sold to Shooting my Life ́s Script series: Spanish/Spain (Random House Mondadori), Spanish for Latin America and USA (Vergara Y Riba) and Portuguese/Portugal (Editorial Presença).

Renato Moriconi
is a visual artist and book author. He has a degree in Fine Arts (FPA) and a post-graduate course in Graphic Design (CEUMA-USP). He was born in Taboão da Serra (SP) in 1980 and currently lives in São Paulo. Renato has been working with graphic arts since 1994 and has more than 40 titles published in Brazil, France, Korea and Mexico. He was been awarded important prizes such as “Best Wordless Picture-Book” in 2011 and the “Best Children’s Book” in 2012 by FNLIJ, the Brazilian section of IBBY. He has been awarded the “Best Editorial Illustration” during the “13º Salão Internacional de Desenho para Imprensa” in Porto Alegre and has been shortlisted for the Jabuti Award in 2011 in the following categories “Best Children’s Book Illustration” and “Best Children’s Book”, and again in 2013 for the “Best Children’s Book Illustration”. Renato has taken part in important illustration exhibition in Brazil and foreign countries, such as "Um Panorama do Livro Ilustrado no Brasil" (Sesc Belenzinho / SP - 2011); "1a Mostra de Arte Contemporânea Literatura Infantil" (Caixa Cultural/ SP e BSB - 213 2014); "XXIII Bratislava Bienal of Illustration" (Bratislava / Slovakia - 2011). His work has been recently featured in "100 illustrations for Children", edited by Julia Schonlau

Thalita Rebouças
was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1974 and, since she was a child, dreamed of being a writer. A journalism graduate, she ended up making a decision to set the editorial rooms aside and to dedicate herself to literature. Today, the writer is a phenomenon with over one million copies sold. She maintains daily contact with her public through social networks and site www.thalita.com. Thalita will have some of her literary works transformed into films by the country’s leading producers - Uma Fada Veio me Visitar (A Fairy Came to Visit Me), by GloboFilmes, Tudo por Um Namorado (Everything for a Boyfriend), by Diler Trindade and Ela Disse, Ele Disse (She Said, He Said), by LC Barreto. Moreover, her books Tudo Por Um Pop Star (Everything for A Pop Star) and Era Uma Vez Minha Primeira Vez (Once Upon a Time There Was My First Time) will be adapted to theater play by Aventura e Prósperas Produções, respectively. Recently Thalita also wrote a script for TV. The episode Fala Sério, Mãe! (Come on, Mom!), will still be featured this month in the TV series As Brasileiras [The Brazilian Women], of TV Globo, with Glória Pires playing the lead role. Some of her books are published in Portugal by Presença and two of her titles have recently been sold to V&R for publication in Spanish.
